I’m Claire, an illustrator, designer and comic creator specialising in educational and nature conservation projects.

I set up Emseeitch in 2012 and have been designing animal patterned homeware, stationery and accessories ever since.

I have been commissioned on a freelance basis by clients such as the University of Edinburgh, the Scottish National Party and Scottish Women’s Aid.

I also write and illustrate comics. My first comic, The Cats That Stared is an all-ages fiction comic proven to appeal to cat lovers across the globe. I also created, curated and designed Video Games For Good, a collaborative anthology that brings sixteen artists together to express their affection towards video games in order to combat negative stereotypes.

My most recent project, Wild Lives, is a wildlife-inspired comic collection inspired by my time at artist’s residency with the Scottish Wildlife Trust in the West Highlands.
